I'm Lyndsay, and my story is really just that it's always been about food for me. I even joined the Navy for it!
After touring the Art Institute in Seattle my junior year of high school and seeing their culinary kitchens, I was hooked. Joined the Navy to pay for it, and off I went. They paid for my BS in Health and Wellness, focused in Nutrition first because that was the closest food degree I could get online, and then for Health Coach training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and finally culinary school at the Art Institute- Virginia Beach instead of Seattle, because, well, life. And finally a MS from Maryland University of Integrative Health in Nutrition and Integrative Health- Community Health Education and an Herbal Studies Certificate just for fun.
I've been around farming, gardening, cooking, canning and food preservation all throughout my life and finally fermentation more recently. I love all of the aspects from environmental and health aspects of farming, to all the creative, delicious ways you can get that food on your plate, to the science of what those foods tell your body.
Now it's time to share what I have learned. I take all the crazy, conflicting information and all those food network and pinterest recipes you get inspired and intimidated by, and break it down into something you can actually incorporate into your life. I want to help you create a system that works for you and makes you feel your best, so you can do more of and better at what you are passionate about!
Whether it is through coaching, online courses, live cooking classes, public speaking, writing and even a little private chef work- I want to help you to "cook up" your best life!
